This project was completed 12 days early as a result of careful coordination between ESA, Sunland Park ES Principal and staff, GISD Physical Plant and ESA subcontractors and suppliers. Due to multiple phases, additional space was identified and more classrooms were relocated than originally planned while school was in session. Precise planning and scheduling by ESA during the proposal phase allowed for all corridors and group areas to be done during summer break. Additionally, all infrastructure and main lines were installed during summer break allowing ESA to occupy and complete individual classrooms at one time while school was in session. Project was completed under original budget due to tight cost constraints and allowance/change order management through the course of the project. A significant portion of IT related scope was deleted and sourced through a previously qualified vendor direct to GISD.
